Ashland Police Department – Lateral Transfer Police Officer 

Civil Service Lateral Transfer Police Officer Wanted  

The Town of Ashland Police Department is currently seeking highly motivated experienced police officers for lateral transfer to The Ashland Police Department. Interested candidates must be currently employed by a civil service department. Candidates must have the highest integrity, excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to solve problems in high stress situations. The Ashland Police Department offers a competitive salary and benefits package based on past experience. Many opportunities exist in The Ashland Police Department for qualified personnel. The selection process will include but not limited to an extensive background investigation, physical and psychological examinations.

SCHOOL CROSSING GUARD
APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED UNTIL THE POSITION IS FILLED

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assist children and other pedestrians to safely cross the road

2. As needed, direct traffic and school crossing post.

3. must be available for morning and afternoon school traffic posts.

4. must be able to stand outdoors for long periods of time in a variety of 

weather conditions (snow, rain, heat, cold)

Uniforms to be provided by the town.

Prior to appointment, the final candidate will be required to pass a criminal background check and must possess or be able to attain CPR and First Responder Certifications.
