All Officers are required to complete a 5 day Police Motorcycle Training course held by the Municipal Police Training Committee which certifies them in Police Motorcycle Operations.

APD currently owns and operates 2 BMW F 650 GS-P motorcycles designated MC1 and MC2.

 The F 650 GS-P sets a new standard for agile, multi-terrain motors. This is the first manufacturer-certified police motor in this displacement range, fully equipped for police work, yet with an acceptable seat height (unlike converted dirt bikes).
